BeFit Tracker Classic
Learn the focused food-library workflows available in the free, maintained BeFit Tracker Classic app for Mac.
BeFit Tracker Classic is a permanently free, maintained Mac food-library app. Version 7.5 brings an updated USDA-derived catalog for new installations, serving-aware quantity calculations, personal food tools, Open Food Facts imports, printing, and refreshed compatibility for current macOS releases.
Classic keeps its own local database and familiar folder-based workflow. It does not synchronize with iCloud, iPhone, iPad, or the Health app, and there is no migration path between Classic and the newer BeFit Tracker.
Start with the Food Library
Search the bundled catalog, select a food, and inspect its stored nutrition information in the sidebar and chart views. Build reusable folders when you want to compare a group of foods, or use the User Food Library for foods you want to create, edit, or keep as personal copies.
What version 7.5 changes
- New installations receive the refreshed bundled food catalog.
- Available serving sizes and quantities recalculate nutrition for the amount selected.
- Custom-food creation and editing are improved.
- Compatible Open Food Facts products can be imported into the offline User Food Library.
- Food printing supports multiple selections and pages through the standard Mac print workflow.
Version 7.5 does not silently replace a Classic database already in use. This protects existing folders and personal foods, but it also means an existing installation does not automatically receive the new bundled catalog.
