Mindfulness tracking on iPhone and iPad

Time or log mindfulness sessions, add optional daily context, and review minutes, streaks, methods, and trends.

Mindfulness is a Beta tracker for recording the time you spend in a practice and the method you used. A session is separate from the optional daily check-in, so state of mind, journal completion, and music can add context without changing the number of minutes practiced.

Start a live session

  1. Open Trackers, choose Mindfulness, then tap Start Session. The action can also appear on Today when enabled.
  2. Choose a method: Breathing, Body Scan, Guided, or Mantra.
  3. Set the target duration and confirm the start time.
  4. Practice outside or alongside the app. Only one mindfulness session can be active at a time.
  5. Tap End Session, confirm the end time, and save.

Log a session after it happened

  1. Tap Log Mindfulness Session.
  2. Choose the method, duration, and start date and time that describe the completed practice.
  3. Save, then check the selected date’s Minutes and History.

Use Log Mindfulness Session for a completed practice. It does not create an active timer.

Add optional context to a day

  • State of Mind records one of the available feelings from Very Unpleasant through Very Pleasant.
  • Journal records whether you completed a reflection; it does not store the journal’s private text in this tracker.
  • Music can attach a selected song title and artist when media access is available.

These items belong to the selected day. You can use any of them without changing session duration, and you can remove one while preserving the others.

A journal check-in is optional daily context; it is not counted as mindfulness minutes.

Read your practice history

  • Minutes totals completed sessions that started on the selected date.
  • Streak counts consecutive days ending on the selected date that contain completed mindfulness minutes.
  • Methods identifies the practice type attached to each session.
  • Trend totals completed minutes per day and can be viewed over Week, Month, 6 Months, or Year.
  • History shows the exact method, start time, duration, and optional check-in details behind the summary.

Use the trend for the pattern and History for the sessions and check-ins that produced it.

Correct sessions and daily context

  1. Find the affected date in History.
  2. Edit a session to change its method, target duration, start time, or end time.
  3. Edit or remove State of Mind, Journal, or Music independently when only the check-in is wrong.
  4. Delete a session only when it should not count toward minutes or streaks, then confirm the action.
  5. Review the day total, streak, trend, and History again.

Use the record as a reflection tool

Week and Month ranges can reveal whether a practice is becoming regular; longer ranges can show breaks and restarts. Optional state-of-mind and journal markers can help you remember the surrounding day. They are personal context, not a measure of mental health or proof that mindfulness caused a change.

Minutes and streaks are practice records, not health scores.

BeFit Tracker does not provide therapy, crisis support, diagnosis, or a guarantee that a mindfulness practice will change stress, mood, or health.
